Car Park
Competitors may use the main car park of Paisley Golf Club, an overflow facility is also available. The Scottish Golf Union and Paisley GC cannot accept responsibility for any theft or damage to cars whilst parked at the club.

Catering
Coffee and morning rolls will be available from 7.30am and bar snacks all day. Evening meals are available on request. All catering is at competitors own expense.

Clubhouse
The clubhouse will open each day at 7.00am. Competitors, their families and guests are permitted use of clubhouse.
Casual wear is acceptable but must be smart. The wearing of jeans, shorts, sleeveless or collarless shirts and training shoes is not allowed.

Golf shoes are permitted in the locker rooms and spike bar – they are prohibited in all other clubhouse areas. Caps must not be worn while in the clubhouse.

Changing facilities are available in the Gents Locker Rooms. There are a limited supply of coin operated lockers for the storage of small items available on a first come first served basis. Showers are available but players are required to supply towels.

MOBILE PHONES ARE PROHIBITED IN THE CLUBHOUSE AND ON THE COURSE.

Competitors under the age of 18 shall not be allowed to play the fruit machines nor consume or purchase alcoholic drinks.

Caddie Cars
The Professionals Shop has a supply of trolleys for hire on a first come first serve basis. Please note that trolley handles must be returned to the Professionals Shop immediately after play. There are no yardage books available but there is some yardage information on the club scorecard.

Practice Day & Facilities
Competitors have been granted one courtesy round on Thursday 5 May. Competitors may contact the Professional’s Shop at Paisley GC to book a time telephone 0141 884 4114. Times will be issued on a first come first served basis. The last practice time on Thursday 5 May will be 4.00pm.

Practice Conditions
Competitors may play from the white medal tees.
Other than in accordance with the rules of golf, a competitor in a practice round must not have more than one ball in play - exception - if a player misses the green with his shot to the green he may play one additional shot.

A short warm up area which can accommodate approximately 6 players is available at Paisley GC. Players must supply their own balls and the area is restricted to the use of short irons. The practice putting green is for putting only i.e. chipping onto this green is prohibited.

Course and Play
On competition days competitors must report to the SGU Championship Van at least 30 minutes prior to their starting time. Starting times are shown in the official draw sheet.

At registration each competitor will be issued with a copy of the local rules, pin positions and pace of play guidelines.

COMPETITORS MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICIAL STARTER AT THE FIRST TEE OR TENTH TEE 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY ARE DUE TO PLAY. Competitors are reminded that late arrival at the allocated starting hole (i.e. the first or tenth) will result in disqualification as no provision has been made under Rule 6-3.

The wearing of jeans, denim trousers, shorts, sleeveless or collarless shirts, training shoes is not permitted, shorts are permitted if tailored.

On completion of a round each competitor must report immediately to the SGU Championship office to check and return his scorecard with SGU Officials.

Etiquette
In the interests of all, players should play without delay and ensure that all pitch marks are repaired.

Insurance
Your entry fee includes visitors golfing insurance and will cover competitors for legal liability in the event of them causing injury to another person or damage to a third party property. An excess of £15 will apply.

Presentation
The Championship trophy and medals will be presented at the close of play on Sunday 8 May. All medal winners are expected to be present.

Responsibility
Paisley GC and the Scottish Golf Union cannot accept responsibility for the loss, theft or damage to players’ property during the tournament.

Directions

Leave the M8 at Junction 27, to Paisley along Renfrew Road, nearside lane follow the ring road through two sets of lights. Turn left at Causeyside Street, straight for 1 1/2 miles. Turn right at the Jet Garage into Glenburn Road. Turn left into Braehead Road and up the brae.
